If every year you and your family take a family vacation together that sees you all leaving your Jersey home behind for a couple of weeks where you go to the same location each and every year this should be the year that you change your family vacation planning habits. It can be easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to family vacationing and if you've never thought outside the box it's time you start. There is no need to spend every vacation at the Jersey Shore.
One way you can do that is instead of driving to the airport from your home, you can rent an recreational vehicle (RV) that will take you there or anywhere else you feel like going. Flying is a convenient way to get a vacation started but there's something about recreational vehicles that the experience of flying doesn't provide you with.

When flying you don't get to stop wherever and whenever you feel like stopping. While on a road trip you can make an unscheduled stop at some place new or stop to take pictures. Driving around in an RV means you get to call the shots when it comes to where you're going to go, when you're going to stop, where you'll be dining at, how fast you want to get to where you have to be, etc. There's no stewardess telling you that the airplane is out of snacks or a lineup to use the bathroom.
The RV experience can be made to resemble the life you lead in your permanent home, but just that it's on wheels instead. Depending on the size of the RV you drive it can be so big that it'll have a dining room, bathroom, sleeping area and kitchen inside of it. How cool does that sound? The RV vacation is perfect for those that love to explore and are adventurous and there's no greater mode of transportation for that than the RV!
We will warn you though that RVs are a lot of fun once you've gotten your first RV road trip vacation out of the way and under your belt and you'll be pretty tempted to list your house for sale and do nothing but go RVing the rest of your days. We're not saying that's a bad thing to do but we're not going to say it would be the most prudent thing you could do with your life either. We're just saying that it could happen and you should prepare yourself for such an eventuality. Good luck and have fun out there!
